Council Member's Profile
COUNCILOR ROBERTO LACSON ADVINCULA. was born and raised in Cavite by his parents, the late Anastacio S. Advincula who served as Punong Barangay in Tanzang Luma for 12 years from 1980-1992 and late Leticia S. Advincula. He is the brother of Mayor Alex L. Advincula of Imus City, Cavite. He has three (3) children namely, John Ernest C. Advincula who is currently the Punong Barangay of Mambog 3 City of Bacoor, Cavite, Jobelle A. Del Rosario and Julia Raye C. Advincula.Â
He finished his bachelor’s degree as a Marine Engineer at Philippine Merchant Marine School in Pasay City. He was a seafarer for 2 years and from his very humble beginnings he started his business, RAY-J ENTERPRISES 1991 which is still operating up to the present and is being managed by his loving wife, Yolanda Advincula.
He was elected as Punong Barangay of Mambog 3 in 2013 and served for two (2) consecutive terms until 2019 when he decided to run as City Councilor for the 2nd District of Bacoor Cavite. He was elected as a City Councilor and is currently the Chairman of the Committee on Public Transportation and Traffic Management, and the Committee on Cooperative Development.
He is the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Games and Amusement and of the Committee on Public Works and Highways. Councilor Advincula is also a Member of the Committees on (1) Government Enterprises and Privatization, Public Franchises, (2) Labor, Trade Commerce and Industry, (3) Human Rights and (4) Non-Government Organizations.
When he was still a Punong Barangay, he actively participated in various trainings and seminars conducted by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Currently, he is studying the intricacies of local legislation and is primary contributor on the development of various plans and projects intended to improve traffic management and public transportation in Bacoor. He is also studying ways on how to improve the operation of cooperatives and is actively encouraging members of tricycle operators and drivers associations in Bacoor to convert their organization into cooperatives.
He believes that public servants must be persons of character and integrity — a belief handed down to him and his brother by their father who, like him and his sibling, was also a dedicated public servant.
