HON. ROWENA BAUTISTA-MENDIOLA, served as Sangguniang Panlungsod
Member for three consecutive term (2013 – 2022) until her election as City Vice
Mayor in the synchronized national and local elections of 2022. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Vice Mayors’ League
of the Province of Cavite.
Aside from being the presiding officer of the Sangguniang
Panlungsod, she is the co-chair of the City Mayor in the various local
consultative councils. The Local Chief Executive tapped the City Vice Mayor’s extensive
experience in local legislation and in private entrepreneurship. Since her term as City Councilor, she is
known to actively support resolutions and ordinances for the implementation of
various programs of the city government on education, social welfare, tourism,
livelihood generation and the promotion of local businesses. Spurred by her
innate compassion for the poor and downtrodden,
the Vice Mayor is using her office to promote good governance through transparency and
accountability, honesty and integrity.
She was born for public service as she is the daughter of the late Senator
Ramon Bautista Revilla, Sr., and the elder sibling of Senator Ramon “Bong”
Revilla, Jr. and Mayor Strike B. Revilla. Being the 1st in her family to get
into public office, she garnered the most number of votes when she was elected
as Councilor of the then municipality of Imus, Cavite in 1988 under the 1st
election held under the 1987 Philippine Constitution. She also served as
Chief-of-Staff of her father in the Philippine Senate from 1992 to 2004.
She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Major in Management. She
then became the CEO of her own firm
names Goldrich Business Corporation. She
was also the President of JAB Realty and producer of Imus Productions, Inc.
Her presidency of the Bacoor Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(BCCII) promoted unity among the members of the local business sector and
encouraged more investments into Bacoor which helped pave the way for the then
municipality of Bacoor to qualify for conversion as a city in 2012. She led the
organization in conducting business development seminars and trade related
activities. She spearheaded its community involvement through various projects
aimed at community development and job creation. In recognition of all her
efforts for the development of local businesses, the distinct honor of being
named Chairman-Emeritus of the BCCII was bestowed upon her after she was elected
to the Sangguniang Panlungsod in 2013.
She was married to the late Mr. Pedro Jaro Mendiola and is a mother
to three children.
