Councilor MICHAEL ESPIRITU SOLIS was born and raised in barangay Habay 1, City of Bacoor, Cavite. He was the second of four children of former City Councilor Avelino Bonifacio Solis and Feliciana Balohabo Solis. He is married and has five children.

He was a security officer of Tigon Security Agency from 1996 up to 1999. He was elected as a Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Habay 1 from 2007 up to 2010 and went on to become the Punong Barangay from 2010 up to 2016. He was elected City Councilor of Bacoor City, Cavite in 2016 up to the present.

In his time being the Punong Barangay of Habay 1, his barangay was recognized as 3rd place in the Search for the Cleanest and Greenest Barangay and 7th place in the Search for Modelong Barangay in 2013.

He is currently the Chairman of the Committee on Games and Amusement, Committee on Poverty Alleviation, Vice Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food, Committee on Cooperative Development and Committee on Youth Sports and Development. He is a member of Committee on Ethics, Appointment and Government Reorganization, Committee on Peace and Order and public Safety, Committee on Public Work and Highways, Committee on public Transportation and Traffic Management, Committee on Social Services and Committee on Non-Government Organization. 

He is presently a member of the Cavite Councilors League.

He graduated from Habay 1 Elementary School, Bacoor Parish High School and attended a 2 years course at the De La Salle University Dasmariñas, Cavite.
